I am a mother of 6 (aging from 1 to 17 years). I've been a nurse in Labor and Delivery for about 8 years and in Neonatal ICU for 10 and thought I knew a lot about birthing babies. After a lot of research I found that there are midwives today that help women have their babies at home... their way... naturally. I love helping educate women about their bodies and their babies. I feel led to help women birth without all the unnecessary medical interventions. There is nothing wrong with doctors and technology but God made women's bodies to carry babies, deliver them and to nurse and love them. Most times that can be done without all the "extras" medicine demands. Midwives tend to be very hands-on and can detect problems quickly. They refer women with problems or potential problems to appropriate medical care providers. I can't help but feel privileged each time I witness the miracle of birth.

Denise is a Licensed Midwife and is available at any birth as a second midwife for an extra fee.  We recommend that all birthing parents consider having two LM's at a birth.
